.Wedding Wednesday, Southern Touch Monograms.

Bag, c/o Southern Touch Monograms // Dress, c/o How Gorgeous {original post here}

One of the first things I thought about when we got engaged, was "hey, now I can monogram everything!!!". I have always had a long list of items I wanted with a big monogram on them, but I thought I should probably wait until Tyler actually proposed before I purchased them. Well here we are engaged, so bring on all thing monogrammed :)

All my monogram dreams came true when I came across Southern Touch Monograms online. You want it, they have it! I of course had to have a classic monogram necklace! That just seems like a must have for any bride to be or new bride! Here's a little peek at mine {here}. I'll be posting more on that shortly!

Another item that I found myself loving was this canvas travel bag. It also comes in black and mint, but I kept going to back to the pink. I can never have too many pops of pink and it will match most my outfits. I know that with weddings, typically comes lots of traveling! Now I'll be able to pack everything up in style and smile every time I see my soon to be monogram!!

I have even been using it a lot lately for blog shoots when I have multiple looks. It fits SO much. I was able to fit three looks, 3 pairs of shoes, a whole lot jewelry, toys for Kennedy and I had plenty of room to spare!

I was even thinking this bag would make a great bridal shower gift if you have any special ladies in your life getting married! I know I would be so excited if I got it!

Side note, I want to wish the love of my life a very Happy Birthday!! I don't know what I would do without Tyler as my partner in crime for the rest of my life :)

.Ruffled Blouse.

{Photos by M.Marie Photography}

Floral Blouse, c/o Impressions Online Boutique // White Denim, Old Navy // Heels, Kohls {old, almost exact style here } // Sunnies, Charlotte Russe {can't stop wearing! only $4!} // Necklace, c/o Southern Touch Monograms // Bracelets, J.Crew & J.Crew

 The shape of this blouse immediately caught my eye when I was browsing online. The print of the blouse is what completely stole my heart! Honestly, I was stalking the tracking on it because I couldn't wait to see it in person!! Let me tell you, the blouse did not disappoint! It's so feminine and simply gorgeous! The way the ruffle detail lays is extremely flattering too. I know that this blouse is going to get a lot of wear in the coming months.

I was also thinking, if you have an upcoming vacation, this would be so cute over your swimsuit! Just like the overlay I was wearing yesterday {here} there's so many different outfits that can be put together around these two pieces!!

.Peach Bellini Floral Overlay.

Floral Overlay, c/o Impressions Online Boutique // Blouse, Forever 21 {love this option} // Jeans, Forever 21 {only $29 & such great quality} // Sandals, c/o Shopjoyworks // Bracelets, J.Crew & J.Crew {these bracelets are serious staples & I wear them almost daily!}

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!! Ours was filled with lots of family time. Kennedy might tell you it was her favorite weekend. Tyler is Krispy Kreme obsessed and took us on a little drive so he could have one  seven on Friday. We let Kennedy try and she was in heaven!! She may have cried a little when we took it away :)

If you follow me on Instagram you may have caught the little sneak peeks I posted of Merit's Spring line this past weekend. Impression Online Boutique has done it again with their brand, Meritt's new Spring release!! Last summer I lived in their pieces. This striped dress and this leopard top were my go to pieces. I still find myself reaching for them all the time.

The Spring line is dreamy and in my opinion just perfect!! Think the prettiest bold floral prints, lace, and leopard. It's one of those lines where you can't pick favorites and you find yourself needing everything, right now :) I dare you to try and pick just one favorite!

Over the next couple days I'll be sharing with you my top 3 pieces. This peach floral overlay is one of those pieces that I highly recommend having in your closet. It's a great piece that you can just throw over a tank or dress and it will totally make your outfit! It would even be darling over your swimsuit when lounging by the pool! The price point is fabulous too at only $39! This particular print immediately caught my eye and stole my heart! It also comes in a couple other floral prints and a leopard.

Shooting with Megan from M.Marie Photography was truly a blast! We had the best time exploring all of Balboa Park and getting to be creative. This was our first time that we got to work together and was actually the first time we met in person! The crazy thing is we clicked so much that it felt like I was hanging with an old girlfriend! This is one of my favorite parts about blogging. I have had the pleasure of meeting so many amazing individuals that are SO talented!!

.Festival Feels.

Dress, c/o Shopjoyworks // Sandals, c/o Shopjoyworks // Hat, Nordstrom {no longer available, similar version here & it's only $15!}// Bracelet, c/o Heart Tribe {I wear these tassel bracelets nonstop!} // Sunnies, Charlotte Russe {only $4!} // Lips, MAC 'Creme Cup'  & NYX Butter Gloss 'Merengue' {loving this combo}

Even though I won't be attending Stagecoach or Coachella, that doesn't mean I can't dress like it. Side note, I would LOVE to go to Stagecoach, but it happens to fall on Kennedy's birthday weekend so that's a no! It's no secret that these music festivals are inspiring our wardrobes and the way we style our outfits. You can't walk through the mall or browse online without seeing hints of boho and 70s inspired pieces everywhere. I will admit, I wasn't always the biggest fan at first, but I've totally warmed up and I am constantly adding festival feeling pieces to my personal wardrobe. Of course all while stayin true to my personal style!

That's what I love about fashion. You can have that core style that you're known for, but add pieces here and there that are out of your comfort zone to spice it up. One thing that I hardly ever stray from is dresses! I could live in them for the rest of my life and be perfectly happy. I like to change things up by mixing in different styles that I wouldn't normally gravitate towards. It keeps things fresh and unexpected. This dress is one of those pieces that I wouldn't think would fall into my normal realm of style. It really stood out to me when I saw it online. I'm happy to report to all of you that I LOVE it!! It's extremely light weight and the croc detail at the top is gorgeous. It's enough detail that you don't even have to wear a necklace.

If you're lucky enough to be attending one of the festivals or if you're like me and just want to dress like it, Shopjoyworks has you covered!! They have so many perfect pieces, from the dress I'm wearing, to this off the shoulder blouse! Oh and this white dress would be the cutest with a pair of booties, a stack of tassel bracelets & a hat! Eek, I can't handle all the adorable options!!

Also, I'm sure you noticed that I look a lot more sun kissed than in my last post. Well cats out of the bag! I started using Million Dollar Tan this past week. I've been wanting to try a self tanner because I finally came to my senses and said NO to the tanning booth!! So far I am loving the results and how easy it is to apply. I want to keep trying it out and I will share all the details with you guys shortly :) In the meantime, if you also want to get a tan at home you can use the code "kayla20" for 20% off your purchase!!

Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend! I'm going to be shooting a fun collaboration this weekend if you want to follow along on Snapchat (kotineru)!

.Long Sleeve Dress & Vintage Finds.

Dress, c/o Shein // Sandals. Forever 21 // Sunnies, Karen Walker {25% off with code: INTHEFAM thru tonight!!} // Necklace, c/o FabFitFun {use code: DARLING for $10 off your membership}

Today is the last day that my all time favorite sunnies are 25% off! This doesn't happen that often and if you have had your eye on them, I highly suggest you grab them now. I originally purchased mine from this same sale 2 years ago! One of the best purchases I ever made. They also have them in black {here} & this other style {here} that I love!! My other favorite sunglasses that I get a lot of questions about on Snapchat {here} are also on sale and only $120!! Talk about a crazy, crazy deal! There's a couple other fun items that I'm crushing on from the sale. I will link them below if you care to take a look. Remember though, the sale ends tonight!!

Last Saturday we spent the morning out at the motorcross track watching Tyler do what he loves. It was Kennedy's first time out and she was digging it! Tyler is gifted and was impressing everyone with his skills out there. It was a nice treat to watch him do something he's so good at! {I include a couple pics below from our day at the track!}

Tyler drove the back way home from the track knowing that I would be excited since it goes through Julian, Ca. My love affair with the town will never fade. Any chance I get to go anywhere near it, I'll take it! Just as we were coming into town, we came across a hidden treasure, The Barn. If you follow me on Snapchat you already saw about 20+ snaps of it as we were exploring :) It was adorable! It was like something you may see on Fixer Upper! It's a huge open barn (hence the name!) filled with tons of vintage treasures. Then there was acres of green grass, beautiful flowers, and lastly scary Emu's haha! One tried to bite Ty's finger. It was such a cool place that I highly recommend you check out if you ever find yourself in the area!

The blogger side of me was thrilled because this dress I was wearing has a vintage, boho vibe that went with the atmosphere of the barn. The owners so kindly let us do our blog shoot in the barn! Huge thank you to them! This dress is slightly different than all the other spring dresses I have been crushing on. I love that it has the long sleeves, which makes it perfect for those cooler days we sometimes get in the spring time. It is really light weight though, so it will work well in the summer too! I love the flowy look of it, but it's equally as cute belted. I am wearing a small because it runs on the bigger side!

{their love is something else!}
{So exhausted from all the fun! She never falls asleep like this in public anymore so I was loving it!}

Thanks for stopping by!!

.Wedding Wednesday, Blo Blow Dry Bar.

 {Photo Credit: James Nicolau Photo Website // Instagram}

Dress, c/o The Pink Lily Boutique // Belt, H&M // Sandals, c/o Shopjoyworks // Bracelets, c/o Heart Tribe {here & here}, c/o INPINK , J.Crew & J.Crew // Necklace c/o FabFitFun Box{use code DARLING to get $10 off your subscription}

Hello friends!  It's Wednesday and you know what that means, Wedding Wednesday!

This past weekend I had the pleasure of spending the day getting pampered at Blo Blow Dry bar in La Mesa, Ca. I have to admit, I have been beyond excited about this salon since way before it was open. I remember the day I was walking into Hobby Lobby and I spotted the "coming soon" sign. I did a little big happy dance! If you are a fellow East County girl, then you know just how bad we have been needing a salon just like this!! Because lets be honest, what girl doesn't love getting her hair blown out?! I know I do! It's one of those services that I don't mind splurging on because I know I'll feel fabulous and confident after! Worth every single penny in my eyes.

I first visited the salon back in January shortly after it had opened. I went with a girlfriend because we had a wedding that night. I loved my hair and knew I had to go back the next time I needed my hair done. Fast forward to this past weekend. I had a pretty fancy wedding to attend and knew that I had to pull out the big guns! Blo to the rescue :) I thought I loved the salon before, well that love was taken to a whole new level!

From the moment you walk in, you feel like you are being pampered. I wasn't there more than 3 minutes before I was given a glass of delicious champs to sip on! We all know if something starts out with a glass of bubbly, it is bound to be a wonderful experience.

Blo exclusively uses Unite hair products and boy do they smell divine! After getting my hair washed, we discussed exactly what I wanted the end result to be. They have a "menu" of 7 different style that they specialize in. They also offer fun braids and up-dos. I ended up doing a hybrid of a couple different styles. I wanted loose curls with lots & lots of volume. Lately I have been all about that big hair! I really stressed the volume part because I knew my hair would fall by the evening. They took what I had to say very serious and did this technique where she pinned the curls after she blew them out and let them set that way. I loved it, I looked like a 50's housewife while I was waiting for them to be taken out!

I kid you not, when she let my hair down I said "Can I please take you home with me?!?". Guys, my hair has never ever looked that fab!! I was seriously freaking out. It was exactly what I was dreaming of!! Don't you just love when you ask for something and they do it!?

Not only does Blo offer hair services, they also do manicures! Gel and regular polish. except their polish is anything but regular. They only use a vegan polish that is manufactured locally here in California. Both super cool and made me love it more! They have a ton of colors to choose from, but naturally I was drawn to a baby pink color. It was perfect!!

Truthfully I had the best day getting spoiled and getting to know the girls of Blo. I can't recommend this salon enough if you are looking for either of these services! The reason I was so excited to include this in my wedding Wednesday series is that I will have so many bridal events in the near future and I know I'm going to want my hair professionally done! It's such a relief to know that I have the option to go to Blo and it's only about 15 minutes from my house. Talk about a life saver!!

I also have to take a quick minute to talk about my extreme obsession with this dress from The Pink Lily Boutique!! I feel like I should be on a tropical vacation while wearing it! Or at least somewhere sipping a fruity cocktail and getting a tan. I have a feeling that this dress is going to be a favorite, if not my all time favorite, dress of the summer. All it's missing is a tan :)...more on that later!! If you're looking for spring/summer dresses, The Pink Lily Boutique is your place to go! My wishlist is about a mile long with this one at the top! I'm also patiently waiting for this one to come back in stock. The pattern is amazing!

Last, but most certainly not least, I must give James from James Nicolau Photography a huge shoot out! I always tell his wife I think he's magic! He kills it every time we get to work together. If you are in the San Diego area, you have to book a session with him ASAP! He's particularly amazing with little ones if you're looking to do a family shoot ;)

Ok, thanks for sticking around for the longest post ever, haha! I just had so many things to rave about today!!
