.The Cutest Jacket & An Exciting Wedding Update.

Coat, c/o Shein {only $25!!} || Jeans, c/o Miss Match || Booties, c/o Grey Monroe {my favorite} || Blouse, old {similar option here, only $13} || Sunnies, Karen Walker

Happy Halloween!! I hope you all had a super fun weekend filled with spooky fun. Our  weekend was such a great one! It started with a family trip to the pumpkin patch {pictures below}, running around getting last minute things for our family costume, our niece's 2nd birthday party, way too much sugar, wedding planning {more on that below}, lots of giggles and so much love. The Birthday party was a costume party, so we even got to see Kennedy in her costume!! We are all dressing up on Halloween and I can't wait to share it!

This must be my wedding planning coat because I wore it twice this week and both times were to go look at venues! It turned out to be good luck because we finally decided on one and booked it!! If you remember, we got engaged last Christmas {feels like forever ago} and I successfully put off planning for about 10 months. Recently, I have felt the urge to get the planning started. Now that we have the venue selected, the real fun can begin. You know, like the dress shopping :) We plan on DIYing a good portion, so that has me excited and a little nervous, if I'm being honest. All I have to say is thank goodness for Pinterest! If you have any tips at all when it comes to wedding planning, I'm all ears!!

Sizing info for the coat: I got a medium thinking the small would be too small. I was wrong, I wish I would have ordered the small. The medium isn't huge, but I would have liked it to be a little more fitted. Just make sure you order according to your exact measurements!

{Kennedy's First ice cream truck experience!}

{That smile melts me!! It was all fun in games until we tried to take that ice cream away!! #meltdown haha!}

Kennedy's Dress || Bow Flats || Bow, c/o Simply Sweet Bows

Now that Kennedy's 18 months, her hair is getting really long! Her days of rocking the Donald Trump comb over are long behind us ;) Now that her hair is on the longer side, we have been wearing more bows than headbands. I just love when she's rocking a pony, a teeny tiny bun or pig tails! I still have a thing for handmade bows. Besides them being the absolute best quality, you know you are helping a hardworking mama most of the time.

Recently I came across Simply Sweet Bows on Instagram when searching for the perfect fall bows to add to our collection. We just received our first bows and let me tell you, they are perfect!! The quality is some of the best and I know these bows are going to be our favorites for years to come!! Kennedy's wearing her first large sailor bow {ever} in the 'Navy Swiss Dot' in these pumpkin patch pics. I'm obsessed with how it looks in her hair!! I can guarantee that I'll be planning her outfits around it. I think this is my new favorite style bow. I have my eye on this one & this floral one too!!

We also got this darling pigtail set & this burgundy classic bow. The classic style is the perfect bow to stock up in all the colors. She carries every color under the rainbow and she even offers it in adorable prints. You can follow Simply Sweet Bows on Instagram {here} to see all her new arrivals. Word on the street is that she'll be release the holiday collection tomorrow!! She posted a little sneak peek and it's going to be so good. Also, one thing I love about her shop is that she offers free shipping when your order is over $20!! Free shipping wins every single time!! Happy Shopping, ladies!

.Babydoll Buffalo Check.

Buffalo Check Blouse, c/o Shein {listed as dress} || Jeans, Old Navy  {only $25!}|| Booties, c/o Miss Match {part of giveaway going on here} || Sunnies, Karen Walker || Monogram Necklace, c/o Southern Touch Monograms || Watch, Kate Spade || Bracelet, J.Crew

Good Morning, loves! Can you believe there's only 5 days left of October?! I really wish I could freeze time as we enter the holidays. It always goes too fast and I want to enjoy every second.

If you follow me on Instagram or Snapchat {both Kotineru} you know we took a very spontaneous trip up to Disneyland on Monday. We got yearly passes when we went back in May and to say I've been dying to go back would be an understatement! All the stars aligned Monday and Tyler ended up having the day off due to rain. My first question to him at 6:30am was "Want to go to Disneyland??". Thankfully he loves the happiest place on earth just as much as I do, so we got ready and packed up as fast as we could! This was very hard for me to do, since I am normally a planner! I mean, I didn't even have time to outfit plan for Kennedy ;) It felt really good though to be spontaneous!

Disneyland at Halloween time is my second favorite coming in right behind Christmas! There's "punkins" {as Kennedy says it} everywhere and they're adorable. Being there really got me in the holiday spirit. So much so, that we are already planning our holiday trip back to the park. I think that might be a two day trip!!

We couldn't have picked a better day to go as far as it being dead in the park! I guess a Monday & a slight chance of rain make for a great combo when it comes planning your trip :) It was so dead that we were able to go on the Little Mermaid ride 3 times in a row without waiting in line! Kennedy was pretty excited about this since it's her favorite ride. We also took her on Pirate's of The Carribean for the first time. She loved it! She said "weeee" after the drops in the beginning. I don't think it will ever get old watching her experience things that we love the first time.

Another thing that won't get old, is watching Kennedy's excitement when she sees the characters. Absolute magic is the only way to describe it! Tyler and I get tears in our eyes watching her get so excited. Minnie & Pluto were her favorites this trip. I'll include a couple picture below from our trip.

As I mentioned above, we got a little rain this week! Looks like San Diego decided to finally accept that it's fall and cool down. You have no idea how happy this makes me! It means I can finally wear all things plaid & buffalo check and not look like a complete dork...or sweat to death ;) I have been dying to wear this babydoll buffalo check blouse! It would be such a great blouse going into the holidays. I keep picturing it with these jeans & these boots {such a great price!!}!! Festive, comfortable & chic! My favorite kind of combo.

The top is listed as a dress, but it's too short for me to wear it on it's own{I'm 5'5}. For those of you that were asking, I'm wearing a small. It's made to fit oversized. I think I could have gotten away with an XS, but the small still fits great without being too big.

I hope everyone has the best Wednesday! Tonight Tyler and I are finally going to view a wedding venue that is at the top of my list. Fingers crossed we love it!! I might post a picture or two on Snapchat ;)

I always love reading weekly/monthly favorites, so I thought I would share a few of mine as of late!

We are pretty coffee obsessed in our house and normally have the same creamer every single day. Except this time of the year we make the switch to holiday flavors. I had Tyler buy me the "Pumpkin Pie" flavor, but I have fallen in love with this one. I love it so much that I have been having multiple cups a day just so I can add the creamer ;)

The next favorite should come as no surprise! If we are friends on Snapchat or Instagram {kotineru}, I have shared a lot about Miss Match Boutique this week. They are always at the top of my list when it comes to favorite stores, and at the moment they are killing it with their new arrivals! Seriously, everything is perfect. I'm actually going there again today!
{you can use code Kayla20 for 20% off your purchase with Miss Match!}

This next favorite is super random,but definitely a favorite for the last month or longer: Honeycrisp apples!! Oh my, oh my, where have these delicious apples been allll my life?! For some reason, I'm just now having these for the first time.  They're super tart, a little sweet & very crisp. Kennedy and I share one almost every afternoon with a little side of this almond butter {also the best!}. I'm not going to bore you with talking forever about an apple, haha. Just do yourself a favor and run to your market and pick one up or a dozen. You'll be hooked!

This book has reminded me of my love for reading this week! I'm going with my cousins, (who have all read the book) this weekend to see the movie. I have been on a mission to finish it by Sunday. It hasn't been a problem because it's such a page turner!! It reminds me of "Gone Girl" in such a great way. I finished it last night and OMG is all I have to say. I can't wait to see the movie!!  I'm already thinking about what I'm going to read next, if you have any recommendations, I'd love to hear them!

Now that Kennedy has a lot of hair, I have been trying to stock up on clip bows instead of headbands. I recently found this shop on Instagram and ordered this bow for Kennedy. I love the cranberry color for fall. I also love that their bows are only $4.50!!

Hope you have the best Fri-yay!

Outfit, Miss Match {call 619-223-5500 to order, use code Kayla20 for 20% off}

Happy Monday!! This weekend sure went by in the blink of an eye. I read somewhere that there is something like 82 days till Christmas?! That little fact gets me so excited, yet freaks me out!! I already feel like I'm falling behind when it comes to getting things ready. Guess I'll be getting started on our Christmas shopping this week ;) Kidding, but I really do love everything about this time of the year. I can NOT wait to take Kennedy to the pumpkin patch. She's going to be a blast this year!!

This Monday is going to be a little more glam than most. I'm heading to Miss Match to shoot looks for their website. I always look forward to working with Miss Match because they are my absolute favorite boutique in San Diego. Whenever I go there, I leave with mile long wish list of pieces I fall in love with. I'll try to post some behind the scenes pictures on Snapchat {kotineru} of my favorite looks today.

The outfit I'm sharing today was my number one pick last time I was in the Coronado Miss Match. This jacket fits like a dream! I love the camel faux leather paired with the navy dress. The two together are such a classic color combo and perfect for fall! This jacket would also be so cute paired with skinny jeans and this white tee that I have been loving lately.
