If you took a glimpse into my closet, you'd see a lot of polka dots! Big polka dots, small polka dots, colorful polka dots, etc. You get the picture, I love them!! I can't say no to them. Even when I'm trying to mix things up and avoid them, I end up with a dressing room full of them. The heart wants what it wants, I can't help it!! So when I saw this tunic on Shein, I knew I had to have it! I've worn it so much since I got it in the mail. It's one of those classic pieces I love to have in my closet! It's going to get a lot of wear well into spring!

I did want to share a couple sizing tips with you since it can be a little scary ordering from over seas. Make sure you always read the exact measurements on the specific item you're ordering. This is so important since everything runs extremely different! If you pay close attention to the measurements you should be happy with your purchases. I can't stress this enough. Just an example, this top is listed as a dress, but I'm not quite sure who could pull this off as a dress! Also, I'm 5'6 and wearing the small. Feel free to email me if you have any more sizing questions!!

Since starting A Darling Dream, I have had the pleasure of working with a lot of different companies. Something that always stands out to me is quality! When you order something online it can be scary. I know, personally, if I am going to spend my hard earned dollars on something, I expect the quality to be top of the line! Anything less just kind of bums me out. When I received this necklace and this bracelet from Harper & Jewels in the mail last week, I was blown away! Guys, the quality is amazing!! It is comparable with a couple well known stores that we love to drool over their pieces, but can't bring ourselves to always pay over $100 for a necklace!! Not to mention both of these pieces are gorgeous!! I highly recommend grabbing a piece or two from Harper & Jewels if you're looking to add some sparkle to your wardrobe. You can use the code: dream15 to take 15% off your purchase too!

Hope you have a wonderful Tuesday!!

Happy Friday, friends!! I'm back with our final set of photos in our Valentine's Day photo shoot series. Speaking of Valentine's Day, I'd love to know what fun things everyone has planned. We are going to keep it pretty low key this year. We are going on a very rare baby free date night tonight!! I have no idea where we are going yet, but I'm hoping it involves some sort of cheese plate. I'm really looking forward to spending a little quiet time with Tyler!!

We are also taking Kennedy to Supercross this Saturday for the first time. Tyler's dad manages a team so we are going to support and cheer them on. I can't wait to see her take it all in! If you're in the San Diego area and going tomorrow, you should come say hi!!

I had a couple questions on Snapchat about the dress Kennedy is wearing here. I had originally bought it at Christmas time on crazy sale! I think I paid $5 for it! Got to love when Macy's marks things down and lets you use a coupon! I was able to find it a couple places online still so I linked it up above for you! I wish I knew what size she'd be wearing this Christmas because I'd love to buy it again and tuck it away.

Hope everyone has an amazing holiday weekend filled with lots of love and champagne!!

Kayla:
Sweater, c/o Pink Blush // Tulle Skirt, c/o Bliss Tulle // Shoes, c/o Prima Donna //Necklace, similar option here & here {under $20 and so cute!} // Bracelets, c/o Heart Tribe here & here

Kennedy:
Bow, c/o Zozu Baby {obsessed!} // Moccs, c/o Sweet N' Swag // Bracelets, c/o Heart Tribe

Watching Kennedy take these pictures was the highlight of my year so far! Her little personality was just killing all of us. I was crying from laughing so hard and because I just love her so much. These days you really don't know what you are going to get when it comes to doing a photo shoot or just snapping pics of her on my phone. One day she is haming it up and others she's just too busy to give me the time of day and/or mean mugging me :)

As luck would have, that day she was all about it! She was growling, screaming with excitement, laughing, playing with the balloons, and just putting on a show!! A huge, huge thank you to our photographer James and his wife, because I know they are the reason it went so smoothly!! They are basically magic and always get the best smiles from her. If you're in the San Diego area, you have to book a session with them!! Seriously, Easter's coming up! Think about how cute your mini would be dressed up with bunny ears on!! Every time we shoot with them, I treasure the photos because I know one day soon she won't be this little anymore and I'll always have these to look back on to remember that little smile!

We all know how I love to twin with Kennedy! I mean, we usually have coordinating outfits 5 out of 7 days a week. But, thanks to Heart Tribe jewelry, we took twinning to a whole new level. I have been showing little sneak peeks of our mommy and me bracelets on Instagram & Snapchat since the day I got them. I have been wearing mine non-stop! The mix perfectly with all my other sparkling pieces that frequent my wrist! I love that you can personalize the tassels to be any color you want! Kennedy loves hers as well! She loved them so much, she wanted to munch on them ;) #teethingproblems. These are her first piece of jewelry and I can't wait for her to continue to wear them over the years since they are stretchy! If you're looking for the cutest way to twin with your mini, you have to check out Heart Tribe! You can follow along with her them on Instagram here.

Kennedy: Bow, c/o Everly Avenue

Valentine's Day is right around the corner. Which seems impossible since it was just Christmas like yesterday, right?! It's fun to think that last year at this time I was very pregnant with Miss Kennedy {last years Vday post}. Gosh, sometimes I just miss that belly :)

Anyways, lets talk Valentine's Day fashion. To be honest, I don't see us getting dressed up this year and going out. I would rather do something that our little lady could tag along with us. Which led me to style a more casual look this year. Don't get me wrong, I think this sweater could easily transition into a more glam outfit! If I was going out on the town, I would pair it with a tulle skirt, oh and a glass of champagne or two! This sweater is such a great piece for the price! It's so soft, the kind of soft your favorite blanket would be made out of! I'm truly in love with it and highly recommend if you're looking for a Valentine's Day sweater.

These flats are everything!! My obsession with them is really out of control. I have worn them every single day since I received them in the mail!! If you follow me on Instagram , you have probably already caught on to my love for them. It's no secret that lace up flats are all the rage lately, but these are simply perfect! They're comfortable, the laced part doesn't fall ( I have skinny ankles!), and under $50! They also come in a taupe color that would be great for spring. I think I may have to get those as well!!

For a limited time The Shopping Bag is doing a promotion when you spend $49 you get a complimentary fur pom pom key chain!!  I have mine on my purse and love it. Perfect excuse to do a little shopping. I already have another online cart going and these items may or may not be in it :)

* Macaron Limoge Box, such a cute little Valentine's gift for your girlfriends!

*Kisses Knit Sweater, seriously!! Get in my closet now. I don't think I'd be able to gift this one, I 'd want to keep it all for myself! I just love all the lips.

*Gray Rose Print Flannel PJs, I love a great pair of button up pjs and these are just darling!! I'm swooning over the floral print!

*Rose Crystal Bib Necklace, The perfect statement piece for every girls collection!

Later this week I am going to be sharing all the adorable pictures from our Valentine's Day photo shoot with James Nicolau that we took last month. Kennedy's cuteness is on another level!! Get ready for picture overload because it was too hard to narrow down my favorites :)

.Red Dress & Blush Fur.

Kayla:
Dress, c/o Vestique // Faux Fur, c/o Style Nut Boutique  {sold out, loving this one & more affordable version here} // Shoes, c/o Prima Donna // Bracelet, J.Crew // Sunnies, Karen Walker c/o Ditto

Kennedy:
Pink Vest, H&M {not online} // Jeans, Target // Bow, Free Babes // Moccs, c/o Sweet N Swag

As January comes to an end, I have Valentine's Day on my brain! Well, thanks to Target, I have actually had it on my mind since the day after Christmas ;) Seriously though, have you seen all their fun goodies in the dollar section?! I have had to control myself when I go in there or else I would buy everything! I did buy the cutest pink XOXO sign for $3. It was less than a Starbucks so I didn't feel too bad.

We have a Valentine's styled shoot coming up with James Nicolau Photo at the end of the month, so I have been shopping for lots of pink, red, and of course hints of gold. While I love the color red, I am a little weird about it when it comes to clothing. I think if it's not done right, it look a little over the top. Personally, I think this red dress is the perfect example of red done right! Paired with my blush faux fur vest, well I'm in love!!

Sadly, Kennedy's vest is not available online. I searched high and low for you guys because it's that cute! I happened to be in H&M when they got them in a few weeks back. I know our local store is already sold out, but it's worth popping into yours! Little tip, if you ever come across faux fur vests in baby sizes make sure to buy it right that second. Think about it later if you have to return it! They sell out SO fast and you'll regret passing it up! If you do have a little one that wears 12 months and up, I found this really cute pink faux fur vest! I might buy it and tuck it away for Kennedy. I might just buy it in every size so she never grows out of it ;)

.Burgundy Dress & Blanket Scarf.

{First shoot with the engagement ring. My finger never knew what it was missing!}

{Somebody was not into our blog shoot haha!! She just woke up!}

Dress, c/o Liz & Honey Boutique // Blanket Scarf, c/o Swanky J Boutique // Sunnies, Karen Walker c/o Ditto {Free month using code: DARLINGDREAM} // Purse, Michael Kors // Sneakers, Converse c/o Famous Footwear // Bracelets, c/o INPink here & here

Kennedy: Headband, c/o Everly Avenue {Their shop is re-opening next week with a ton of new adorable bows! Make sure to follow along on Instagram} // Moccs, c/o By Sophia Baby

Thankfully we took these photos this past weekend before El Nino hit!! I'm not sure if you heard or not, but it's raining in California. I'm not talking the normal sprinkles we get. It's real, hard rain. It also came along with flooding, hail and a tornado watch. This is quite unusual for us. We Californians don't really know how to function without our sunshine!! I'm typically wishing for the rain, but this craziness has me longing for warmer days. Maybe it's the fact that I'm saying prayers the whole time I drive or that we need some fresh air. Either way, bring back our sunshine, Mother Nature...please!!

This outfit had me feeling all sorts of "cool mom"! I don't know what it is, but I was feeling a lot like Sporty Spice. Like I could tackle a whole list of errands and an hour long trip to Home Goods, which totally happened :)

Burgundy has really been a color that I have been crushing hard on for the past couple months. I also live for comfortable & cute dresses. They make my life a lot easier these days since most of my time is spent chasing a VERY mobile and curious little babe around! The dropped ruffle hem is what sold me on this one. I'm all about those subtle girly details. Even if I'm pairing them with sporty details.
The sneakers also help keep things casual and fun too! I have had my eye on a pair of white converse for a while now. My mom is actually the one that inspired me to add these to my wardrobe! The day I had Kennedy she wore hers with a pair of distressed jeans and a white tee. I plan on duplicating that outfit as well! In the meantime, you can find me pairing these with all my dresses and skirts. A huge, huge thank you to Famous Footwear for making my sneaker dreams come true!

The scarf hoarder that I am, couldn't pass up this perfect blanket scarf! I had my eye on it for quite some time and it did not dissapoint when I finally got this beauty in person. It completed the outfit :) I have also been pairing it with sweaters and skinny jeans. In the winter, I love to invest in a couple scarfs to rotate. I love that they totally mix up your wardrobe and keep things fresh, without having to spend a lot of money. Let's be honest, I'm all about saving money these days because I spend it all on Kennedy's wardrobe ;) Tyler can vouch for me!! If you're like me and love a good sale, Swanky J Boutique is having a 50% off sale all clothes. If you need me I'll be shopping online all day!!
PS. I teamed up with Lalabu to giveaway a Soothe Shirt over on Instagram. If you love baby wearing, then you don't want to miss it!!
