Once again I can't narrow down photos to share with you guys so I figured I'd share almost all of them :) Last weekend we have the pleasure of shooting these Christmas family photos with James Nicolau up at Cuyamaca Lake. Boy was it cold!! It was a fairly warm day in San Diego, but as we were driving up there the temperature kept dropping by 10 degrees. Kennedy was quite the little trooper though!! A lot of it had to do with James' wife, Tiffany! I swear she must have been a Disney princess in her past life. She knew exactly what to say and how to get her attention! She was even playing Frozen music for her which worked like a charm! 

I'm so in love with how these pictures turned out. We have been looking forward to Kennedy's first Christmas since long before she was even born. As if Christmas wasn't magical enough, adding this little angel into the mix has just been the biggest blessing!

I really think the photos speak for themselves. Also, him & his wife know Lake Cuyamaca like the back of their hand which was a major plus. They know all the great places to get the perfect picture. On a fashion note, I'm really glad I decided to change things up and go with the red color scheme. I love the pops of red, black and gold against the natural background. If you're still looking for the perfect holiday piece I highly recommend this red flannel! I wore it again that night with skinny jeans for my work Christmas party and it was just as cute! It goes with everything and it's a great piece to throw into your holiday wardrobe.

I'm a true believer that a girl can never own too much sparkle and everyday is the perfect occasion for a sparkly #armparty!! This gift guide was so much fun to put together. This past weekend we went to pick our very first Christmas tree as a family of three! I can't even tell you how excited I was to go with Kennedy. Family traditions just mean so much more now that she's here. We had a blast, but I will let you in on a little secret...we left without a tree..sad face!!! There was a couple hot days after they got the trees in and it totally dried them out so we have to wait for the next shipment. I guess it's just a small price to pay for living in sunny California!

Lately I have been all about layering! I have been finding myself reaching for a vest when trying to change things up. It's a great way to put a fun twist on an outfit that you may have worn a time or two. This mint puffer vest from Sweetest Stitch has been my go to piece! I really love how light it is, but at the same time it keeps me nice and warm! The mint color is beautiful and the rose gold zipper detail makes it look high end. Great part is that it retails for nearly half the price of comparable puffer vests! At this price you can buy one for you and one for a Christmas gift...got to love that "girl math"!

By now you're probably picking up on the fact that I have a little or a huge crush on anything & everything gold!! That has spilled over into all of Kennedy's accessories. I can't help that the heart wants what it wants :) I died, like screamed, with pure excitement and danced a little when I open this gold bow from A Little Lady Shop. It is seriously what all my gold dreams are made of!! It's the perfect {and I really don't use that word lightly} bow for the holidays.

Every single day I feel beyond blessed for my little family and dear friends. This time of the year always makes me reflect on the past year. I would have to say this past year has truly been the best and quite the adventure as well. 

Here's a glimpse at our holiday photos we took this past week with the insanely talented Yana. Kennedy is at such an amazing age and these pictures capture her sweet personality perfectly.  I will forever treasure these photos! 

I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the love and support that you all continue to give me. When I started this blog I never imagined I would meet so many wonderful people that I can call friends! I hope you have the most wonderful Thanksgiving and holiday weekend with your loved ones!!

Happy Wednesday or what I like to call it, Happy Thanksgiving Eve!! Can you honestly believe that in one day it will be Thanksgiving and then the most wonderful time of the year?! I don't even feel like summer happened so I really have no idea how we only have one month of 2015 left! Time is flying, but at the same time I feel like we just brought Kennedy home from the hospital! Guess that's part of getting old ;) Anyways, I don't know about you, but I really love holiday eve's just as much as the actual holiday! There's just so much excitement and anticipation in the air. It also helps that Tyler & I have the day off and get to celebrate by taking a quick trip to the mountains to show our little love some of our favorite spots. I hope you're spending today doing something fun with your loved ones too!

No matter what time of year it is, I will always be a girl that loves to wear color! It makes my heart happy. This dress was no exception! I first fell in love with it online, but when it arrived I seriously couldn't wait to wear it. The print is amazing, it's colorful and fun, but not over the top. I wore it over the weekend for an event at Nordstrom and got so many compliments on it! I had three girls stop me to ask details! It's one of those dresses that's great to have in your closet so you can throw it on at a moments notice when you make spontaneous plans. Perfect for the holidays, when you want a break from the typical color schemes!

As much as I outfit plan for myself, I find myself thinking about Kennedy's outfit ALL THE TIME! #momlife On a typical day when getting Kennedy ready, you can find me planning her outfits around A) Mine & B) Whichever bow that I am currently obsessing over!! This past week almost every outfit she wore was revolved around this mini sailor bow from Everly Avenue. It's just precious and basically the cutest thing! I couldn't be more obsessed with the shape of the bow. I love small shops and Everly Avenue is at the top of my list for cutest bows! You can tell a lot love goes into their bows! I'm excited to start my gift guide series that will go on through the holidays! To kick it off I wanted to do a specific color pallet that I have been loving, gold & blush! Of course, it's no secret that I'm over the moon in love with gold, but lately I have been craving blush pieces as well.
