As January comes to an end, I have Valentine's Day on my brain! Well, thanks to Target, I have actually had it on my mind since the day after Christmas ;) Seriously though, have you seen all their fun goodies in the dollar section?! I have had to control myself when I go in there or else I would buy everything! I did buy the cutest pink XOXO sign for $3. It was less than a Starbucks so I didn't feel too bad.

We have a Valentine's styled shoot coming up with James Nicolau Photo at the end of the month, so I have been shopping for lots of pink, red, and of course hints of gold. While I love the color red, I am a little weird about it when it comes to clothing. I think if it's not done right, it look a little over the top. Personally, I think this red dress is the perfect example of red done right! Paired with my blush faux fur vest, well I'm in love!!

Sadly, Kennedy's vest is not available online. I searched high and low for you guys because it's that cute! I happened to be in H&M when they got them in a few weeks back. I know our local store is already sold out, but it's worth popping into yours! Little tip, if you ever come across faux fur vests in baby sizes make sure to buy it right that second. Think about it later if you have to return it! They sell out SO fast and you'll regret passing it up! If you do have a little one that wears 12 months and up, I found this really cute pink faux fur vest! I might buy it and tuck it away for Kennedy. I might just buy it in every size so she never grows out of it ;)

Thankfully we took these photos this past weekend before El Nino hit!! I'm not sure if you heard or not, but it's raining in California. I'm not talking the normal sprinkles we get. It's real, hard rain. It also came along with flooding, hail and a tornado watch. This is quite unusual for us. We Californians don't really know how to function without our sunshine!! I'm typically wishing for the rain, but this craziness has me longing for warmer days. Maybe it's the fact that I'm saying prayers the whole time I drive or that we need some fresh air. Either way, bring back our sunshine, Mother Nature...please!!

This outfit had me feeling all sorts of "cool mom"! I don't know what it is, but I was feeling a lot like Sporty Spice. Like I could tackle a whole list of errands and an hour long trip to Home Goods, which totally happened :)

Burgundy has really been a color that I have been crushing hard on for the past couple months. I also live for comfortable & cute dresses. They make my life a lot easier these days since most of my time is spent chasing a VERY mobile and curious little babe around! The dropped ruffle hem is what sold me on this one. I'm all about those subtle girly details. Even if I'm pairing them with sporty details.
The sneakers also help keep things casual and fun too! I have had my eye on a pair of white converse for a while now. My mom is actually the one that inspired me to add these to my wardrobe! The day I had Kennedy she wore hers with a pair of distressed jeans and a white tee. I plan on duplicating that outfit as well! In the meantime, you can find me pairing these with all my dresses and skirts. A huge, huge thank you to Famous Footwear for making my sneaker dreams come true!

The scarf hoarder that I am, couldn't pass up this perfect blanket scarf! I had my eye on it for quite some time and it did not dissapoint when I finally got this beauty in person. It completed the outfit :) I have also been pairing it with sweaters and skinny jeans. In the winter, I love to invest in a couple scarfs to rotate. I love that they totally mix up your wardrobe and keep things fresh, without having to spend a lot of money. Let's be honest, I'm all about saving money these days because I spend it all on Kennedy's wardrobe ;) Tyler can vouch for me!! If you're like me and love a good sale, Swanky J Boutique is having a 50% off sale all clothes. If you need me I'll be shopping online all day!!
PS. I teamed up with Lalabu to giveaway a Soothe Shirt over on Instagram. If you love baby wearing, then you don't want to miss it!!
