.2015.

As I reflect over the past year, I have to admit that I am a little sad to see it come to an end. It went by in the blink of an eye. It has truly been the best year of my life and one that I will never forget. It started with endless planning and prepping for our little love, moving into our condo, welcoming Kennedy in late Spring, watching her grow into the most amazing and curious little person and ended on a very high note with getting engaged to my best friend. I don't think this year can ever be topped! I will always smile and maybe shed a happy tear when I think back to this year.

I am excited to see what 2016 has in store for us. I have a feeling that it's going to be another fabulous year filled with lots of fun adventures for our family. It's going to for sure include a very glittery first birthday and wedding planning :) Which means I see lots DIY in our near future!! {you can follow along on Pinterest. I have already been pinning away for both!}

I want to say a HUGE thank you to each and every one of you for following along and all the love and support you always show us!! I feel very blessed to have such amazing readers and can even say that some of you have become my friends!

I thought I would share a few snapshots from my favorite moments of 2015. Most of them are pictures I snapped on my phone so they're not all the best quality. But they are very high quality moments so I figured they were worth sharing :)

Merry Christmas Eve, Eve!! Two days till Christmas?! Where has this year gone? I feel like time just flew by after having Kennedy back in April. This has been, hands down, the best year for us. From planning our little love bugs arrival, to all the joy she has brought us. I never knew what we were missing until she was here :) She's always keeping us on our toes and constantly putting smiles on our faces!

 Speaking of keeping us on on our toes, we officially have a crawler! She's been attempting it for quite some time, but we really thought she might skip it all together since she is basically dying to walk! To our surprise, she started crawling everywhere as of Friday (Dec 18th) and hasn't stopped since!! There's been a couple times that she's tried to open all the Christmas presents under the tree, haha. Hopefully Santa's bringing baby gates because this girl is on a mission to get somewhere fast!

Switching gears, lets talk fashion! This outfit is basically a mash up of all things I have been loving! The pants, I have worn more times than I would truly like to admit, and I plan on wearing them plenty more times this week! When I purchased these a few weeks back at Miss Match, the owner warned me that ladies that buy them come back to get them in every color. I wish I would have taken her warning more seriously, because I need more of them in my life. They are on another level soft! I love the grey color because they go with everything!! I will be adding the denim ones to my wardrobe asap!

Another thing I'm loving are these wedges. They are called the "perfect match" and I think that's just the perfect name! I am normally a flats girl, mostly because I am so clumsy and I don't have time for tripping in front of everyone! These wedges were too cute to pass up. To my surprise, they are like wearing flats. I kid you not! They are so comfortable! I wore them for hours and they never killed my feet. I plan on wearing these a lot so I hope you guys don't get tired of seeing them ;)
Last, but most certainty not least, this kimono!! If you live somewhere like Southern California or get hot flashes like me (lol) this is the most amazing layering piece!! It's light, but still perfect for covering up. I wore it with a long sleeve the other day and it looked really cute too. Plus the fringe is amazing!! Lately, I am loving all things that have fringe detail!

P.S. How cute is that Christmas tree covered in sombreros?! So San Diego :)

Happy Tuesday, friends!! The official Christmas countdown is on, only 10 days! I really am in disbelief since I have barely started my Christmas shopping...eek!! It totally snuck up on our house this year. Kennedy did give us an early Christmas present last night and decided to sleep through the night!!! *Happy Dance* She's been such a terrible sleeper the last 7 1/2 months. I had pretty much made peace with never sleeping more than 4 hours at a time again. It was a real treat to not have to get up!! You really never realize how precious sleep is until it's gone :) There is one happy mama over here today!

It's no secret around here that I love Pink Blush.  I can't sing enough praises about their maternity line. I equally love their non-maternity section! When I was pregnant I fell in love with their wrap dresses. The coral and blue one I wore {here} was the most flattering and comfortable piece I wore my whole pregnancy! It was also Tyler's favorite. I was excited to try one now that I'm not pregnant and sporting a giant belly! It's safe to say I fell in love all over again. The print has me dreaming of spring, but it also works in the fall/winter with the dark blue tones. Girl to girl, this dress is a closet staple! It's the perfect piece to have in your closet on stand-by anytime a fun occasion comes up out of the blue! It always makes me feel better to know I have pieces like this, so I never have to panic when Tyler springs a date night on me! They have about 10 other prints to choose from too!

Make sure you are following me on Instagram {here} because tonight at 5:30pm PST I am teaming up with Pink Blush to give one lucky winner a $100 gift card!! Talk about perfect timing, you can pick out the perfect Christmas outfit and maybe snag your girlfriends a gift too!

Once again I can't narrow down photos to share with you guys so I figured I'd share almost all of them :) Last weekend we have the pleasure of shooting these Christmas family photos with James Nicolau up at Cuyamaca Lake. Boy was it cold!! It was a fairly warm day in San Diego, but as we were driving up there the temperature kept dropping by 10 degrees. Kennedy was quite the little trooper though!! A lot of it had to do with James' wife, Tiffany! I swear she must have been a Disney princess in her past life. She knew exactly what to say and how to get her attention! She was even playing Frozen music for her which worked like a charm!

I'm so in love with how these pictures turned out. We have been looking forward to Kennedy's first Christmas since long before she was even born. As if Christmas wasn't magical enough, adding this little angel into the mix has just been the biggest blessing!

If you're looking for a family photographer in the East County/San Diego, you should reach out to James! We had such an amazing experience! I can't praise his work enough! I really think the photos speak for themselves. Also, him & his wife know Lake Cuyamaca like the back of their hand which was a major plus. They know all the great places to get the perfect picture. Check out his website {here}!

On a fashion note, I'm really glad I decided to change things up and go with the red color scheme. I love the pops of red, black and gold against the natural background. If you're still looking for the perfect holiday piece I highly recommend this red flannel! I wore it again that night with skinny jeans for my work Christmas party and it was just as cute! It goes with everything and it's a great piece to throw into your holiday wardrobe.
