.Mommin' Is My Jam.

Mommin' Shirt, c/o Crunchy Cuts // Shorts, Charlotte Russe {Favorite & only $24} // Sunnies, Karen Walker // Necklace, c/o Accessory Jane {old, similar here} // Shoes, Converse c/o Famous Footwear

Kennedy
Shirt, c/o Crunchy Cuts // Shorts, Target // Moccs, c/o Angel Baby Moccs // Headband, c/o Rain & Honey Bows

I really should have titled this post "Twinning is my Jam!". But really, can you blame me for always wanting to twin when companies like Crunchy Cuts make such cute shirts!! From the moment I spotted these on Etsy, I knew Kennedy & I had to have them. I'm a sucker for a fun graphic tee and these have to be my all time favorites.

Being a mom is not the easiest job, but this little sunshine has made it such a rewarding one. Last night I was sitting on the floor in her room playing and I started to tear up. It was such a simple night,I could hear Family Feud on in the living room, Tyler was doing laundry, dinner was in the oven, and Kennedy and I were playing peek a boo and with her stuffed animals in her room. But it dawned one me, one day I'm going to look back and yearn for nights like this. There's going to come a time, when she a teenager, that she would much rather hang out with her friends. I'm going to miss her tugging at my leg while I try to get chores done, I'm going to miss her running to me to give a big juicy open mouth kiss, I'm going to miss her waking up in the middle of the night just to snuggle real close, I'm going to miss her wanting me there for everything she does. These are the moments that I never want to forget. These are the moments that I think to myself "Mommin' is My Jam".

P.S. If you also love a fun graphic tee, this Mommy & Me set about coffee is amazing! I personally wouldn't be able to mom without coffee. My morning cup or two gives me life!!

.Everday Chambray.

Blouse, c/o How Gorgeous // Jeans, Old Navy // Flats, Target // Sunnies, Karen Walker // Necklace, Kendra Scott & Kate Spade // Purse, Tory Burch {Way cheaper similar version here!!}

This outfit is my idea of the perfect everyday uniform! If only the temps would drop a little, so I could wear pants without sweating to death!! Oh well, only about 3-4 more months of this heat ;)

Have you ever laid eyes on a more adorable chambray top?! The fun ruffle sleeves are what sold me! It's also super lightweight, so I can get away with wearing it during the summer. It will be great for fall and winter too! Can't you just picture it paired with black skinnies and a pair of boots or booties?! I know this top is going to be a favorite for many seasons to come!

** Sizing Info- Do not size up for this top! It runs on the larger side. I'm wearing a small.**

The blouse is from one of my all time favorite boutiques that I found through Instagram, How Gorgeous. Remember this fun off the shoulder tassel dress I styled from them back in Spring? The owner, Amy, is an absolute doll and stocks her site with the cutest pieces!! If you're also digging all things off the shoulder then you will be in heaven. I mean, how cute is this blouse?! If you want to keep up to date with all her new arrivals and sales, you can follow her on Instagram {here}.

On a side note, I really can't believe how fast everything from the Nordstrom sale is selling out!! I had a couple things in my cart Friday and took some time to think them over (because I was trying to be good!) and they freaken sold out, insert crying emoji!! I guess God decided that I didn't need them anyways :) I was able to snag another one of these tee shirts because they are SO comfortable and you can't beat the $15 price tag!

Two other items that I am keeping a really close eye on to see if they restock are these flats in leopard and this tote in tan!! The scallop detail on the flats is right up my alley. If they don't get restocked in leopard, I think I might snag them in the 'Gold Snake' color. Sounds intense, haha, but the snake print looks subtle and it would be really pretty around the holidays! It's also not a bold gold, so it would pair with a lot since it is more on the neutral side!  They would actually look perfect with the outfit I'm wearing in this post!

Also, that tote would be a great alternative for a diaper bag! Now that Kennedy's getting older, I don't always need our big bag. It would be nice to just throw a couple things in this tote along my essentials! It's even a great price after the sale if they don't restock it in time.

.Cold Shoulder & Tassels.

{I'm just trying to take a picture with her, but she just wants to go dance with the band!!}

Dress, c/o A Cut Above Boutique // Sandals, Target {sold out, similar version here} // Sunnies, Karen Walker // Mrs Necklace, Kate Spade // Bracelets, J.Crew & c/o Heart Tribe {shop closed, similar tassel bracelet here

Kennedy
Flamingo Tunic, Mud Pie // Bow, c/o Rain & Honey // Jelly Sandals, Old Navy

Oh hey, hey friends!! Hope you're having the best week so far. Thursday's or Friday Eve as we like to call it, are on our favorites around here. It's technically my Friday since I only work part time, Big Brother is on {holla, team Paulie!}, and you can practically see the weekend from here.

We have a busy weekend planned and are throwing around the idea of heading down to Comic Con on Saturday. We have never been, but I have always wanted to go and people watch. I'm pretty sure it would be the most epic people watching of all time. I just don't know if we are brave enough to bare the crowds. I guess we will have to see how brave we are come Saturday. If we do go, you can be sure that I will be snapping away and filling up your feed. If we aren't friends, come find me at @kotineru :)

Now on to the my favorite dress that I've ever owned....Hot pink, cold shoulder, and tassels. Can you guys think of a better combo? No, the answer is NO! This dress is the cutest dress that ever was! Seriously, it's all my current favorites wrapped into one perfect dress. It makes me want to have a mini dance party every time I put it on.

I'm SO sad that this dress sold out so quickly after I got it! I had a feeling that would happen though because it is so darn cute. Luckily, A Cut Above Boutique has a ton of other cute dress options for you. I seriously die over this pineapple dress and it's been on my wishlist for weeks! It's such a fun piece for summer! I also LOVE this cute bow dress . Blush pink and a giant bow? Count me in! Also, this cactus romper!! Basically I could link up the whole boutique because it's all adorable! Instead you can always follow them on Instagram {here} to stay up to do on their new arrivals and sales.

On last one for all you mamas.....how darling is this tee shirt?! Alllll the heart eyes for this cutie!!

** Tomorrow is an exciting day for you Nordstrom lovers that don't have a CC/Debit card with them, the sale opens up to the public!! Since I did have the chance to shop the sale in person and try a lot of pieces on, I'm going to be rounding up my favorites! I'm also going to be trying to keep the price point very low, around $50 with a few exceptions! Because let's be honest, money doesn't grow on trees and we all have a shopping budget!! So don't forget to check back!**

.What I'm Loving Wednesday, Flats & Florals.

{I scored these exact flats in our local Target for $11! They are on sale online for $19. Still a great price. They're SO comfortable! I'm personally a sucker for the stripes, but they also come in a couple solid colors.}

Happy Wednesday, Loves!! I thought it would be fun to do a little addition of "What I'm Loving Wednesday" today. Lately, I have been crushing hard on all things floral and fun flats! These aren't new love affairs, but they do seem to be all I have on my mind right now! I think it has to do a lot with this dress from Pink Blush that I just got. I shot it this past Friday with Erin Christine and I'll be sharing those shortly with all the details. I thought I'd link it now for you, just in case it sells out!

I don't know if it's the time of year or what's going on, but my mom and I were shopping the other day and couldn't get over how many cute clothes we were finding! Seriously, every store we went in, we were loving everything. I loved it, my wallet no so much :)

I was noticing a trend, I was picking up anything and everything floral. Like I said, this isn't a new obsession, but it does seem to be on another level!

Another item I can't seem to stop obsessing over, is flats! This lace up flats trend, possibly my favorite style...ever! I live in flats, whether it be ballet or sandals. It's just more practical for me these days since I'm chasing around a crazy toddler :) Even if I wasn't running around with Miss Kennedy, I'd still be wearing mostly flats.

Below I rounded up my favorite dresses and flats. Most of them are currently on sale or under $50 with the exception of a couple that I couldn't help but share.

I'd love to know what items you're crushing on lately. Leave me a comment here, Instagram or Snap!

Happy Shopping!!

.Polka Dot Skirt.

{Photo Credit: Erin Christine Photography}

 Skirt, c/o Tara Lynn's Boutique // Blouse, Forever 21 {old, love this blouse and it's on sale!} // Flats, Charlotte Russe {love these so much more!} // Necklace, c/o Accessory Jane {old, love this option!} // Sunnies, Karen Walker // Bracelet, J.Crew

The feminine feel of this skirt is making all my girly girl dreams come true! The giant polka dots are an added bonus. I love the fact that this skirt would look perfect with any blouse that I pair with it.

This skirt is such a statement piece on it's own that I love pairing it with simple tee for a fun look. I actually can't wait to pair it with this pocket tee {only $15} that I picked up from the Nsale this past weekend! A full skirt, cute tee, and a fun statement necklace are totally my jam!!

Tara Lynn's Boutique also makes this skirt in a striped version that I'm swooning over! Both skirts are great for summer all the way into winter, depending on how you style them. Picture this skirt with a long sleeve red blouse and lots of sparkle!! Eek, gets me excited for the holidays just thinking about it!

 I've said it before on here, but I love to invest in versatile pieces like these! You get way more bang for your buck ;)

.The Best Sale Of The Year, Nordstrom Anniversary.

The day we have alllll been waiting for is finally here, The Nordstrom Anniversary sale!!  Ever since I can remember, this sale has always been a big deal in our house. My mom and I would get to Nordstrom bright & early and shop till we dropped. We would always have lunch in the Nordstrom Cafe and spend the day trying on almost everything! I can remember very clearly, circa 2007 when we bought up all the Juicy Track suits...haha oh man, those were the days ;)

After browsing online, I have to say this years sale seems like one of the best I've ever shopped. There are SO many great pieces marked down to fantastic prices. I can get on board with $30 tops & $40 sweaters. That's practically Forever 21 pricing! *Happy Dance* These items will sale out very quickly, so if you see something you better snatch it up!

For the next week or so it's early access shopping. Which means you either have to have a Nordstrom debit or credit card to take advantage or the discounts. If you don't have one of these, don't worry everything will be opened up to everyone shortly!

It can be extremely overwhelming navigating through the sale since there are so many options marked down. I thought I would help you girls out and round up my top picks and items I think will be great for fall. Keep in mind, these are mostly fall/winter pieces. I know it can be hard to buy a cardigan or cozy scarf when it's 100+ outside! You'll be so thankful you did though when those temps start dropping!

If you have any questions about anything I link up, feel free to shoot me an email {kaylaotineru@gmail.com} or leave a comment here or on Instagram!! I always love helping you girls/guys shop :)

A little bit about the items I'm loving....

I'm such a crazy hat lady since I've had Kennedy! I think it's because I can throw one on and it looks like I did my hair, but really I didn't. Got to love those #momhacks :) I purchased a wool wide brim floppy hat from Nordstrom last year and have lived in it ever since. I can't wait to add one of these beauties in the mix.  Also, I am a serious scarf hoarder.  Always have been, always will. I love these blanket scarf & leopard options. I also love their price point with them between $18-$24!!

Every year a pair of Tory Burch riding boots go on sale and my heart explodes because they're so gorgeous!! They are on my wishlist and someday they will be allll mine!! I'm also loving these lace up flats that are under $60! The blush & calf hair ones are my favorite!!

That leopard purse is calling my name!! It would be rude to ignore it, right?! ;) I usually try to take advantage of these sales by investing in a piece that I know will last my for many seasons. I think this baby might be that piece! It's under $150 too which just blows my mind!

Most of these blouses I linked up are priced around $30 and great pieces to stock up on for fall & winter. The Lush pocket tee is such a great layering piece at only $15. I might have to get it in every color. They grey looks adorable! There's nothing like a comfy tee. They go with everything and can easily be dressed up or down depending on your event!

Lastly, this fringe cardigan! There are no words, except "get in my closet, now!!".

.Neon Tassels & Friday Favs.

Blouse, c/o Shein {wearing a medium} // Shorts, Charlotte Russe {only $15!} // MRS Necklace, Kate Spade // Sunnies, Karen Walker  {40% off!!}

How fun is this top?! I posted a picture of it on Snapchat last week when I got it in the mail and it was hands down the most asked about snap! You girls went crazy for it. How could you not though? It's the perfect top for summer with the vibrant neon tassels! Tassels have officially taken over my closet and I'm not even mad about it. Something else I'm not mad about is the price. This top is just under $20, holla ;)

I thought it would be fun to share a couple items, that just so happen to be mostly beauty, favorites with you all. I always love hearing about what others are loving, so hopefully you do too!

First, I am seriously obsessed with this top coat!! Doing my own at home manicures has always been a favorite of mine. It's something that I do to unwind. A glass of wine, a good show, and a fresh mani is basically a cheap form of therapy in my eyes. All these years I have been religiously using this top coat. I still love it, but last week during our Target run, I decided to mix things up! I randomly picked up this gel setter formula hoping that it would be great. It's better than great, guys! Seriously, it's pretty amazing! It gives the shine of a salon gel manicure, dries fast, and my nails lasted 5 days without one chip! I highly recommend picking up a bottle and giving it a try!

My second beauty item that I've been loving this week is this MAC mascara. I ordered a couple  beauty products from Nordstrom a few weeks back and they included a handful of free samples. This mascara happened to be one of them. I have a current mascara routine that I'm happy with right now, so I was a little reluctant at first. I think I have also mentioned on here too, that I am VERY picky when it comes to mascara. Lashes are my jam and besides brows, the one thing I won't compromise on. But, clearly Nordstrom knew what they were doing when they included this sample because I will be buying the full size mascara when I run out!

The last thing I have been madly in love with for a couple weeks now, is this Kiehls lotion. It was actually one of the products I ordered from Nordstrom that came with the free samples. I have been a long time fan of this body creme from Kiehls and pretty much anything they make. I have sensitive skin so I like to use natural face & body products. I have mentioned before that when I got pregnant, one of the lovely side effects I developed was eczema. I don't have an extreme case, but I get it on my legs and it drives me crazyyyy!!! Nothing seems to work, except this lotion that basically got rid of it. It's magic and I love it and will continue to buy it by the gallon :)

.Summer Statement Jacket.

{Photo Credit: Pixel Creek Photography}

Jacket // Tank {love the frayed details on the edges!} // Jeans {not online, almost exact here & only $28 } // Necklace {similar here or call to order}

Whenever anyone asks me where my favorite places to shop in San Diego are, without a doubt Miss Match is always at the top of my list. Aside from how adorable the actual store is, I know that I will come home with unique, fun pieces every visit!

 Prime example is this jacket! This beauty is the perfect summer statement piece. I have to admit, it wasn't something that I would normally find myself gravitating towards.But since I'm on such a white & blue kick and it had the fringe details, I thought why not?! I'm so glad I did, because I fell in love the moment I tried it on! I love that it's slightly over sized for a casual feel, but it's perfect for any occasion. It's one of those pieces that you could mix and match with different tops/dresses for fun looks all summer long! At $52 it's a steal, plus you can use my code kayla20 for 20% off...I think that's a no brainer :)

Happy Hump Day!!

.4th Of July.

Kayla
Romper, c/o Miss Match {kayla20 for 20% off} // Sandals, Target {sold out, almost exact version here & on sale!} // Sunnies, Karen Walker {on mega sale, 40% off!! } // Lips, MAC 'Creme Cup'

Kennedy
Romper, Old Navy {not available online, LOVE this version/ & obsessed with this one! I honestly might buy it in every color!! } // Jelly Sandals, Old Navy // Headband, Hunter Bowtique

Happy Tuesday, loves! Even though it most definitely feels like a Monday ;) We had such a jam packed, fun, festive weekend! It was Kennedy's 2nd Fourth Of July and I'm happy to report she had a great time celebrating!!

We spent most of the weekend in Coronado because our family was staying down there. The whole island was decorated and put us in the festive spirit! Sunday included bike rides, playground shenanigans for Kennedy & her little bestie, and food and dancing at a local pub that had a live band! Best part was hands down taking Kennedy and her little friend out on the dance floor. They were both little dancing queens and loving every second of it!!

Monday morning we got back down to Coronado bright & early for the parade. This was our first year and honestly I don't know how we have never been! If you want to get in the spirit of the holiday, this is the event to go to! My favorite part was when we got to celebrate the World War 2 vets! Talk about goose bumps!! Kennedy really loved watching the parade and we are hoping to make this a new family tradition. One of the best parts about having a family is making these family traditions! It makes my heart so happy :)

We ended the day with swimming and a bbq. We didn't end up watching fireworks because we were SO tired by the time they rolled around! Next year, for sure. It was such a great day and I am a little sad to see it gone! Watching all these special events through the eyes of your child has to be the greatest blessing! Yesterday left me feeling very thankful! It also got me excited thinking about how close Christmas is.....haha is it too early to start counting down?!

One  of the highlights of my day was Kennedy falling asleep in the Ergo! She's seriously on the move from the moment she wakes up till she goes to bed at night. Which doesn't leave much time for snuggles these days! It made my mama heart SO happy to have her still and close for that hour. The Ergo is always my secret weapon when I know we are going to be out and miss nap time. She typically gives into it and falls asleep hard! I mean she slept through half the parade and she's even slept through the Disneyland fireworks once in it!! This thing is magic.

I hope all of you had an amazing Fourth Of July with your family as well!! I would love to know what you did and hear about your family traditions!!
