Merry Christmas Eve, Eve!! It's currently raining outside, I squeezed in an early morning Starbucks run in my Pjs, we have Christmas candles burning, and Kennedy's having a dance party in the middle of our living room. I'd say we are having a pretty merry start to our day :) There's a festive feel in the air and I'm loving it. Why can't it be the holidays allll year long?!

I'm finally sharing our Christmas photos that we took with our fav, James Nicolau at the beginning of the month. I'm totally slacking on getting our Christmas cards sent out (like every year) so if you're reading this and wondering where yours is, don't be surprised when it arrives next week ;) These photos have stolen my heart. These are going to be hard to top next year!!

Our shoots can tend to be a little chaotic behind the scenes trying to wrangle Kennedy into the photos. If I'm being honest, the ones that she's running around doing her own thing tend to my favorites. She's such a wild, sweet spirit and these photos capture her so perfectly. I will forever cherish looking back on these. I will always giggle when I think of how obsessed she was with our empty Starbucks cup. She kept pretending like she was drinking out of it and saying "mmmmmm" :) She might have got a drop, if she was lucky! But now whenever she sees our red cup, she begs for our "tooooffffeee" likes she's a regular at Starbucks. Haha I have created a little coffee loving monster.

Her age mixed with the Christmas magic these past couple weeks has been the best. Facebook reminded me the other day that she started crawling a year ago at this time and I remember thinking this is the greatest Christmas, ever! Now one whole year later, I am thinking the same exact thing. The love this little girl brings into our lives is nothing short of amazing and gets me so, so excited for all the Christmas memories we have in our future!

Three things I can't stop dressing Kennedy in this season: her little red shoes, her gray polka dot cozy sweater, and the cutest red bow from Little Poppy & Co..I'm currently obsessing over festive pops of red, so the shoes and bow were a no-brainer when I ordered them. I just didn't realize how much I was really going to love them. Thankfully, Valentine's Day is right around the corner, so I can keep the pops of red coming!!

I want to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas!! I hope the next couple days are filled with so much love, laughter, and family!! Thank you for always being so amazing to us and following along with all our adventures!

.Burgundy & Faux Fur.

Dress, c/o Whiskey & Merlot || Faux Fur, Miss Match {old, love this black option & I'm dying over this splurge worthy vest!} ||  Heels, c/o IPPIO || Sunnies, c/o Shop Suey Boutique || Clutch, c/o Mindy Maes Market || Lips, MAC 'Creme Cup'

Gosh, guys can you believe Christmas will be here in a few short days?! I'm trying to remain calm, but I'm starting to freak a little! Mostly because I can't wait to see Kennedy on Christmas morning and also because I have about 1 billion things to get done before Saturday. Our celebrating starts Christmas Eve morning, so I have to have everything down before then. Eek, I think I can do this without loosing it, haha! I'm fairly certain it might require Christmas music and a crap ton of coffee though!!

Another thing I have been freaking out over this week is this dress from Merlot & Whiskey! Burgundy has definitely been at the top of my list when it comes to colors that I'm crushing on this year. Along with red and blush! It's such a gorgeous colorand is so easy to dress up when you are going to an event or date night! I also love the fit of this dress. It's so flattering and lays just right. It looks cute worn alone or belted like I did here. {The day we shot this look there was SO much static in the air...hints it clinging to me! I promise it lays perfectly normally!!}

Good Morning, loves! Hope you are having a fabulous week so far. If you follow me on Instagram or Snapchat, you know we went to Disneyland this past weekend. We had the absolute greatest time watching Kennedy enjoy herself. It was her third time going, but this was our best trip so far. There's nothing like Disneyland at Christmas time. It's so magical! Kennedy's life was made when she got to meet Anna, Doc McStuffins & Sophia The First within 10 minutes. Our days were made watching her!! You guys, when she ran up to Sophia, she grabbed her by the hands and started dancing!! If that's not the cutest thing, then I don't know what is! I'm already missing Disneyland and planning our next trip! I only wish I had the courage to take Kennedy on my own during the week! Then again, it's probably a good thing because her and I would be up there allll the time!!

I showed a little sneak peak of this sweater on Instagram & Snapchat, but I'm so thrilled to share all the details! This color is perfection!! I'm not kidding, I am so obsessed with it. I wore it Friday to the park with Kennedy and to run errands and got stopped at least 5 times asking where it was from. It's such a show stopper! I also love, love the over sized fit! This style paired with skinny jeans or leggings, this time of year is my jam. It might be because I can indulge in a holiday treat or two and nobody will know ;)

Don't be surprised when you seeing me wearing this sweater every chance I get over the next couple months! I was even thinking ahead about how perfect it will be for Valentine's day!! It's never too early to start outfit planning.

Ollie Marie Boutique was so kind to offer all of you 15% off your purchase too with the code: KAYLADECEMBER. They also offer free shipping which is amazing!! Free shipping always wins in my book!

Kennedy Grace, our little Starbucks thief! Real life, the whole time we were trying to take this picture she was grabbing it and saying "mmmmmmm". Also, real life we now can't take her in a Starbucks without getting her a cake pop, haha! Whoops :)

These flats are the same style as the red ones that I'm wearing in the picture above. I picked them up over the weekend when Old Navy had them marked down to $10. I have been on the hunt for a pair of gold flats for quite some time. They are such a great wardrobe staple since they will literally go with everything!

Comfiest sweater, ever! The only bummer  is, I want to wear this sweater alllll the time. But I feel like a dork wearing it during the week!

Dress, Anthropologie || Flats, Old Navy || Phone Case, Kate Spade || Lips, MAC 'Lady Danger'

Over the weekend we stopped by the mall for a little shopping and to drop my ring off to be sized again. My finger feels SO naked! Anyways, the mall is all out doors and as soon as we got there it started pouring. We forgot an umbrella, so we ran to Forever 21 to pick one up. Unfortunately, they had just sold out. I ended up getting stuck in Anthropologie for about 30 mins. Not a bad place to be stuck, I might add. After buying these mugs {to spell out Smith for a wedding DIY} & this initial ornament, I decided to try on all the pretty dresses. Because what else is a girl to do?! This one was my absolute favorite!! It would be perfect for any holiday occasion.

Flannel, Old Navy || Jeans, Nordstrom || Rain Boots, Hunter || Necklace, c/o Accessory Concierge || Purse, Michael Kors || Sweater, Similar Option

FYI, my flannel top is on sale for $14 plus an additional 25% off!! Or if you have Old Navy cash you can use that on top of the discounted price! I swear I wear these flannels at least twice a week. I also picked up this print when they were on sale for Cyber Monday.

Happy December 1st!! I'll be celebrating by drinking lots of coffee and hopefully finishing up decorating our house. I've already tried 3 different styles of ribbon on our tree & I still can't make up my mind!! Somebody come help me make a decision!!

No matter what time of year it is, I'm always crushing on graphic tees. Add in pink detailing and my favorite sassy saying, then I can almost guarantee that I will wear it non-stop!! I love how you can easily dress them up with a blazer or paired with a fun skirt, or you can throw it on with your fav jeans or shorts {as seen here}. Both looks equally just as cute!

If you're looking for fun festive graphic tees, Kute N' Klever just released their holiday line. I'm loving this snowman sweater & this santa hat sweater! Both would be perfect for any holiday party or event you have coming up. The snowman sweater would be adorable paired with a white tulle skirt & a bold red lip.

I also wanted to mentioned that Kute N' Klever just released their holiday line and it's so good! Like you're going to want everything good. My personal favorite is this black ruffle sleeve blouse! I'm dying over those sleeves!! The holiday line is selling out quick, so make sure to follow along on Instagram {here} so you don't miss anything!

I have been living in these jeans since I purchased them about a month ago! I have been getting a lot of you snapping me asking how I like them. They're by far my favorite denim purchase this year!! You can't beat the price and they are super flattering. I noticed that they are pretty low in stock online...sad face! I did do a little research and I found this pair that a lot of girls are raving about. They are also currently on sale for $50! I also found this pair if you are looking for a little less of the distressed detailing. Those ones are marked down to $30. I might have to add them to my collection!

Totally unrelated, my baby turns 19 months old today!! She's a full blown toddler and our whole life. This age has been a blast! I found myself looking back on all the monthly pictures/posts I used to do on Instagram the other day. It's crazy how you forget so quickly all the little things. Are you guys interested in a post talking about the last 6 months with a toddler?? I've been throwing it around because I want to remember every little detail from this stage! It's the best!!

Xo, Kayla

P.S. We had the chance to shoot with Samantha this past weekend and she was an absolute doll! If you are in the San Diego area, I highly recommend her. She was so sweet and patient with Kennedy~at this age, that's a must :) Her work is unreal too!! She's seriously amazing!! You can follow along with her adventures here.

.What I'm Loving Wednesday, Thanksgiving Eve Edition.

Happy, Happy Thanksgiving Eve!! I can't wrap my head around the fact that it's the middle of the holidays. I don't know how we got here, but never the less, I am thrilled!! This week has felt very festive with the cooler weather (we even got rain!), we picked up our tree and set it up, and Tyler and I shared our first glass of eggnog while watching "Christmas Vacation" If that doesn't sound like a festive week, I don't what does!

I have been loving a lot of things this week and thought I'd share. It turns out most of them are either Kennedy, Christmas or beauty related. I told you, it's been a good week! I'd love to know what you have been loving lately!!

Image via Pinterest

The one thing I have been loving the most this week is our Christmas tree!! For years, I have been trying to talk Tyler into a fake one and it honestly seemed like a lost cause.  To my surprise, he finally agreed when we were conveniently at Target last weekend. We have limited space in our living room and I was really nervous how it was going to go with Kennedy. You know, toddlers & a tree just seemed like a recipe for disaster. Fake seemed like the obvious answer and I'm happy to report, so far everything has worked out great! The tree is the perfect size and Kennedy has been leaving it alone for the most part. She's touched it a couple times, but has been really gentle. She stares at it and says "pretty tree" :) I wanted to share that our exact tree is on sale for $30, like what?! I think the sale only lasts through today though. If you're also limited on space or want a second tree for somewhere in you house, this is the perfect tree!!

I went into Sephora to grab a mascara a couple weeks ago and had rewards points that I hadn't used in a long time. I ended up grabbing this CC cream because I have heard nothing but rave reviews. Guys, this stuff is gold!! I fell madly in love. It has incredible coverage and lasts allll day. Also, it's so moisturizing! I do use a little powder over the top though just because I like my skin to look matte. FYI, this CC cream is not sold in stores. I learned that the hard way :) You can either order it from Sephora or Ulta has it in store.

Another beauty item that I picked up when I went to Sephora was this mascara. I have been using it with this mascara primer that I picked up for $5 at Target. This combo is the holy grail of mascara combo!! Talk about glam, intense lashes. It seriously looks like I'm wearing falsies. If you're a lash girl, you need this combo in your life!!

I've been sipping my coffee out of my favorite mug this week! Anthropologie brings the gold monogramed version back every Christmas and it always sells out. It's the best gift for any coffee lover out there and it's only $10! I'm also swooning over the cocktail glass version that they released. I'm thinking a couple "S" ones would look great on the barcart. Did you hear that, Santa?!

I picked up this sweater for Kennedy and I have been dying for her to wear it. Gap released an almost identical sweater last year and I have kicked myself for about 11 months for not getting it for Kennedy! Thankfully being patient paid off because I love this years version even more. I'm thinking I am going to pair it with this tutu dress for when she meets her favorite man, Santa!!  It's currently 50% off with code: TGIF50

I saved the best for last! One thing, or should I say place, that I have been loving this week is Old Navy! That's really not a new love affair, but this week it has been on another level. The entire store has been 40% off and as of today they kicked it up a notch and started Black Friday early making everything a whooping 50% off!! It's no secret that Old Navy is my go to when it comes to dressing Kennedy. I have been stocking up on essentials for her like this sweater and these fun socks. The real reason I have been frequenting Old Navy is because their holiday pjs are the cutest. I grabbed this pair for Kennedy in the red. They are super soft! I also got these ones for myself because we will be somewhat twinning with the stripes!
