Shopping confession, I have a really hard time pulling the trigger on buying something if it's remotely expensive! I'm talking anything over $100, which is really tricky since I tend to have pretty expensive taste when it comes to clothing. It's a phobia I've always had. Try going shopping with me, I'm the "can you put this on hold for me" queen. For example, I have had my heart set on this purse for months, and by months I mean almost a year! I've even had the money tucked away. I just couldn't bring myself to follow through with the purchase fearing that something better would come along! But, let's face it, it doesn't get much better than this gorgeous purse! So, when I heard Tory Burch was having the friends and family sale (25% off) I basically ran down to fashion valley. Nothing was going to come between me and this baby! I hope you like her, because I have a feeling you'll be seeing a lot of her around here in the months to come.

Another exciting shopping find was this black shift dress from TJ Maxx! A couple months ago I did a post on the same dress just in my favorite color of the moment, hot pink. I happened to be walking though TJ Maxx the other day when I came across that dress in black! I love a great shift dress and I can always use another go to black dress, so there was no way I was passing it up!

Lately I have been feeling inspired to play around with different color & texture combinations that I normally wouldn't think to style together. I attribute it to all the hours I spend on Pinterest gawking over the amazing outfit boards! It has really left me feeling like stepping out of my fashion comfort zone! Enter this outfit. When styling a delicate lace or crochet pattern, I would normally reach for something with a more "lady like" feel or a toned down pastel color; not today. I clearly went for the brightest blouse I own. I'm seriously in love with the combination of the two pieces, truly! Mixing it up has really left me feeling even more inspired to keep mixing it up, things might get a little crazy around here!!

Tyler's sister works downtown at the Marriott in the gaslamp. For his birthday she surprised us with the presidential suite! Not only is the room gigantic, it has an awesome balcony that has a view of all Downtown & the bay. It was such a treat, my favorite part was waking up and enjoying a cup of coffee with the birthday boy on the balcony! If you ever find yourself in downtown San Diego, make sure to stop by the Courtyard Marriott and have a drink with Jillyin, she's the best bartender in town!

Sorry about the mini blogging break I took over the past week. It definitely was not planned on my end! We were so busy celebrating Tyler's birthday then sadly I came down with some sort of bug. Nothing too crazy, just made me feel like I had ZERO energy! Anyways, I'm back to feeling like myself and couldn't be happier to be blogging again :)

This past Saturday, Tyler and I spent the day vintage shopping. We had such a blast exploring all the different shops. We were on a mission for certain pieces, but of course I got a little distracted and ended up with all sorts of dresses, jackets, and jumpsuits in my dressing room. I found so many cute pieces from the 80's & 90's, some of which, I'm pretty sure my mom dressed me in when I was a little girl. I may have picked up a couple, so stay tuned to see how I style them & make them modern day appropriate! In the midst of the trying on, what felt like, 100s of pieces I came across this brand new 100% silk, pink, floral dress from Juicy Couture. Girls, we all know that if you found this dress in their store it would be well over $100. I scored it for $32! This dress has really inspired me to start vintage/thrift store shopping more often!

I have to take a moment to talk about these two bracelets from Sage K. & Co. I seriously have not taken them off since I received them! They are the perfect arm party addition. If you haven't done so already, you have to check out Sage K. & Co. website. Both of these bracelets are under $20, it doesn't get much more affordable than that!

Although I have been crushing hard on color lately, I will always have a soft spot in my heart for black and white. When it comes to clothing, I will typically end up with a dressing room full of these two colors. I can't help it, I get it from my mama, along with a leopard print obsession. I guess there could be worse things that I inherited! There's just something so classic about black and white, the two will never go out of style. And neither will my love for them! Which brings me to this blazer. I knew immediately that I loved it due to the beautiful mash up of black and white. I'm always shopping for the perfect blazers and cardigans that I can just throw on with dresses or jeans. I'm more than thrilled to add this one to my collection, seeing that I am going to get a lot wear out of it!

A couple weeks back I attended a blogger meet up at C. Wonder. Of course I ended up shopping, it didn't hurt that they gave us 50% of the entire store! That meant I could buy double the amount, right?! My absolute favorite purchase of the day were these hot pink kitten heels. I had a little bit of a Cinderella moment when I slipped them on. I have really been crushing on bright heels and the color pink in general, so these were perfect. Immediately, I started brainstorming all the different outfits I could put together with these. Little did I know that these pants would be coming into my life the next day. These two items on their own make my heart happy, but together, they make me feel like having an impromptu dance party!! And that my friends, is a perfect outfit!

Today I'm talking boyfriend, as in jeans! Gosh it feels like years now that I have been on a serious hunt trying to track down a pair that actually looks good on me!! I have seriously tried on countless pairs, ranging from high end, all the way down to Target or Forever 21. I never found a pair that looked, some what, decent. They were always too baggy in all the wrong places. That is until I tried on this distressed pair from Old Navy! Who would have thought! I mentioned last week that I was loving their rockstar skinny jeans. Well now they're boyfriend style has stolen my heart! They're what I have been searching for all along and at their price point, I think I'll take a pair in every color! 

Another thing I have been crushing on lately in the accessory department is all things tortoise! We all know I love me some bling bling. So when I came across this Tortoise Shell Pendant from Kute N' Klever, I thought my heart was going to stop. Tortoise & Crystal?! Hello, my perfect necklace! I'm dying over the way it looks with this outfit! Dare I call it my new favorite!! 

P.S. If you're looking for the perfect coral/pink lip color for summer I found it! Mac's "Impassioned" is my new obsession when it comes to a bold lip! What's your favorite bold lip color?? I would love for you to share your favorites! I'm always looking for new one's to add to my collection.

You have no idea how much I've been wearing this necklace lately. It's the perfect layering piece and  simply gorgeous on its own. I really love the vintage and unique feel it gives my outfits. I don't like to play favorites with my jewels but this necklace is giving my others a run for their money!

A couple weeks ago I touched on how much I was loving eyelets for this spring. Another fabric that is at the top of my list every year is lace. It's just such a classic for me when it comes to styling outfits for spring & summer time. Add peplum to the mix and you have the most darling top! I really love how versatile it is! It can be dressed down with a pair of boyfriend jeans or dressed up with a cute skirt & heels. To let you in on a little secret, I've already worn it both way and equally loved it just as much each time!

On a side note I have tell you about my new jean obsession, Old Navy! For months I have been reading different bloggers rave about their denim, but never looked to it. It wasn't until one of my close girlfriends had on a pair that I was convinced I needed to get my booty in an Old Navy to try on a pair! I feel like I've been missing out!! These pants are seriously SO soft, like feel like you're wearing your fav pair of PJ's soft. They are also so flattering & affordable, can't beat it!
