This past weekend I had the ultimate girls get away in Palm Desert. It was filled with so much laughter, shopping, dancing, cocktails and girl talk! I honestly couldn't have asked for a better weekend! When we got in on Friday, the first thing we did was head straight to El Paseo for serious shopping! If you haven't been to Palm Desert, El Paseo is like their Rodeo Drive. It's AMAZING, let's just leave it at that. After picking out the cutest dress (It will be on the blog soon!) and some new jewels from Jcrew, we headed over to All Tressed Up for some pampering. All Tressed Up offers everything from blow outs, to up do's, and make-up! The owner Shay is an absolute doll! The whole experience was perfect. First, Clarice did my hair. She asked what I had in mind, and I told her lots of body with curl at the ends. She blew my expectations (pun intented lol) out of the water. She did this crazy technique that gave me "jacked up to jesus" hair, and the most beautiful curls, all without using the curling iron. Yeah, you heard that right. She gave me the perfect style only using the blow dryer. It was unreal, it's something you have to experience on your own. Next, I moved to the back of the salon for full face make-up with Brittany. I was beyond thrilled to be getting my makeup done, because if I'm being honest, I have no idea what I'm doing in this category! Brittany was the coolest. She was so educated and gave me little tips and tricks as she applied everything. I could have sat there for hours taking in all the makeup knowledge! Girls, when she was done, I was floored. She made me feel gorgeous! Everything looked flawless and not to mention the girl can do a mean cat eye :) I really can't express what a fun experience this was. It was such a special treat to get dolled up. My mom and I are already planning our next visit! If you find yourself in the Palm Desert/Palm Springs area be sure to stop by All Tressed Up!
